So let's start at the beginning...the road trip. I packed up over Memorial Day weekend, leaving at 6:00am on Friday.
This was the last image I had of leaving my home town: my co-pilot on the town sign.
After that, I headed toward Ann Arbor, where I took a sharp turn southward toward Toledo, Ohio.
This is the afore-mentioned co-pilot, Kronk. (As for the seatbelt,
what can I say, he's a law-abiding kind of bear.)
I really have no idea what this is supposed to mean - are drugs and cheap freight inexorably linked together? Like some sort of 18-wheeled axis of evil? Or are we supposed to say no to cheap freight, that we're supposed to overpay for freight?
Wind-power...ain't it great? Well, not according to Ted Kennedy, who thinks wind-power is a great idea, as long as he doesn't have to see them near any of his homes. FYI, these are in Pennsylvania, near the turnpike. Also, author's note: Pennsylvania is too damned long for its own good.
So very many hours later (have I mentioned Pennsylvania is too damned long?), I arrived in New Jersey, my destination. After lugging boxes and Space Bags into the apartment (only one Jeep-load of stuffs on this trip), my new life was to begin.
